Eickhoff South Africa (Pty) Ltd is looking for a Millwright Electrician in areas Piet Retief, Secunda, Witbank and Ermelo. Below the main roles and responsibilities of this position as well as the minimum job requirements are listed. MAIN ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB:
The main roles and responsibilities of the Artisan are:
•Covering of shifts were Eickhoff machines are in production, and equipment provided by the client
•Troubleshooting and repair of Eickhoff machines in the field and on equipment as per request from client
•You are responsible for ordering and maintaining spares at minimum stock levels to ensure proper maintenance for the Eickhoff CM
•Maintenance of Eickhoff machines in the field and on equipment as per request from client
•Assist with maintenance of all other equipment in the section as per contract.
•Assist with repair and rebuilds of mining machines in the factory in Wadeville
•On an exception basis assist in international assignments (this will be agreed in advance)
•You will report to the Contracts Manager in the area where the Site is allocated.
•Responsible for completing daily, field and maintenance reports and any other reports as required
•Responsible for controlling your peoples overtime and travelling
•Any other duties normally expected from an Artisan
•Comply with the Health and Safety requirements of the mine where you are assigned to.

•Good housekeeping in your areas of work

REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION:
•Minimum grade 12 or N3
•Qualified electrician with a valid trade certificate
•Valid gas testing and flame proof certificates

REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
•At least 3 years’ experience on underground mining equipment
•At least 3 years’ experience on continuous miners will be advantageous
•Be self-motivated and a self-starter
•Good verbal and written communication skills
•Ability to forge strong customer relationships
•Required to work overtime from time-to-time
•Be fit for work in an underground environment (valid red ticket)
•Own transport with a valid driver’s license
